Music…
Music is the kind of
thing in life that must no miss on it.
In mine, music has a
big place, with long walls of history… of family history.
In my life, music
starts with family.
My father has been
always related with the sounds, with the poetry and with the chords.
Since always my dad
plays the guitar and sings too, and those both things I learnt from him.
(Note: Sometimes, I felt
that music is like a genetic heritage, but you can take it or not. If you take
it, you improve it, you practice it).
Continuing, how you
may know I have two older brothers,(and if you dont well, i have two older brothers, hahaha:)!!!!) , and both of them play the guitar, and that
fact helps me to get better on practicing and learning new chords.
My style of music
(sometimes I feel a little fussy with it, because I listen a really specific type of music. haha) its more like a black people music. I love
soul, jazz, folk, acoustics, and classic music.
This three types of
music define my mood every day. They have some special rhythms, deep sounds,
different vibrations.
The last year, I started
to do a research about music, I wanted something different. I’ve always heard
the same kind of sounds on the radio with my friends and there were nothing new,
and I was getting bored of it.
On Spotify, I started
listening to some playlists… ''woman of jazz'', ''soul'', ''Beethoven'' and hundreds of
different types of new and fun music.
One of my favorite artists that I met from this research
was Lianne le Havas, she is a black woman, that sings soul and folk, I met her
on YouTube watching an acoustic version of ‘’say a little prayer for you’’, the mix of
guitar sounds plus her voice was nice.
I also know some old
fashioned woman of music, like Corinne bailey Rae, with her classic ‘’put your
records on’’ or ‘’like a star’’.
Or Norah jones, a
woman classics, with ‘’sunrise’’ or ’’come away with me’’.
And finally my
favorite woman of music it’s a Chilean girl called Nicole bunout, she has
versions of victor jara’s songs, and has a not typical vocal registry. She is
more like and an acoustic person.
On march I went to listen to the national symphonic Orchestra, at the university theater. It was really strange to me to listen to that kind of music in a theater and without headphones, but, I was a really good experience.
